We’re hiring! WHS Consultant + Senior Hazmat / Occ Hygiene Consultant
Work Science is one of Australia’s highly regarded safety, property and risk management consultancies. To support our continued growth and the deliver of recent project wins we are seeking:
- A senior hazardous materials and occupational hygiene consultant (3-5 years experience); and
- A HSE consultant (1-3 years experience)
Our clients include large Australian corporations, property owners and managers, Commonwealth/State Departments, national infrastructure projects, construction companies and entertainment companies. Our reputation is for solving complex problems, which is why we need a bright spark to join our Sydney CBD team.
Senior Hazmat Role
Are you looking for a role that can utilise your experience and diversify your consulting experience? You will be responsible for managing and delivering asbestos/hazardous materials and occupational hygiene projects across our diverse client base. The role will provide a high level of autonomy; however, you will be supported by a team of industry recognised safety, property and occupational hygiene professionals. We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking to take the next step in their career and contribute to our continued growth.
Qualifications and experience:
- Tertiary level qualification in an occupational hygiene, science or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience delighting your clients and colleagues in a technical asbestos, hazardous materials or occupational hygiene role
- Licensed Asbestos Assessor qualification
- Asbestos or hygiene related laboratory experience desirable
- Tenacious, resourceful and willing to work outside comfort zones to learn and grow
- Strong project management skills combined with technical writing and systems documentation skills with excellent attention to detail
- Curious, inquisitive and capable to thrive in a commercial consulting environment
HSE Consultant Role

- Degree level qualification in a HSE-related field

- Strong technical writing and systems documentation skills with excellent attention to detail
- Audit and/or property risk experience desirable
- Curious, inquisitive and capable to thrive in a commercial consulting environment
